On Saturday, August 8, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Knoxville Downtown Island Airport (KDKX), we'll be hosting approximately 15–20 Girl Scouts for an afternoon introducing them to the many opportunities available in aviation.

About the event
On Saturday, August 8, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Knoxville Downtown Island Airport (KDKX), we'll be hosting approximately 15–20 Girl Scouts for an afternoon introducing them to the many opportunities available in aviation.
Our goal is simple: show these girls that women belong in aviation.
Whether you're a student pilot, private pilot, instructor, airline pilot, mechanic, engineer, air traffic controller, dispatcher, aviation business professional, or simply someone who loves aviation, your story matters. Seeing women who have followed different paths into aviation can have a lasting impact on a young girl's future.
The afternoon is shaping up to be a fantastic experience! Activities currently include:
Aircraft walk-around and cockpit tours
Redbird flight simulator demonstrations by Knoxville Flight Training Academy
